Catherine creates her original wildlife and equine paintings, and charcoal drawings through a mixture of sketching from life, and photography. This has given Catherine access to some wonderful places; the moors of Balmoral, the stables of renowned horse racing yards, and private wildlife parks in Africa. She focuses on the creating bold work, and has a keen interest in colour theory, painting to create maximum impact rather than faithful representations. The works take many months of planning and painting small studies before she starts on the main canvas.
Catherine has artwork in many notable collections around the world, and is represented by several galleries. She is happy to take on commissioned work for specific sizes or subjects.
